The Transitional Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk has appreciated the US for supporting Sudan during the Transitional Period and providing the bridge loan with which Sudan paid its arrears to the World Bank.
This came when Dr. Hamdouk met, Tuesday, at his office, the US Special Envoy to Sudan, Donald Booth in the presence of the EU Representative in Sudan, Robert Van Dool and the US Charge d’ Affaires in Khartoum.
The Prime Minister, during the meeting, has affirmed the government’s keenness to continue realization of the comprehensive peace and stability via completion of the Second Transitional Period of the dialogue with leaders Abdel Aziz Al-Hilo and Abdel Wahid Nur, thanking the EU and te US for their continuous support to the peace process in Sudan.
He called on the US and the EU to participate effectively, in Paris Conference scheduled for next May.
The US Envoy and the EU Representative congratulated the Prime Minister on the achievements made, at local and international; levels, top of which, the economic reforms including the unifying of the exchange rate and settling Sudan's debts to the World Bank.
The US Special Envoy and the EU Representative affirmed the continuation of support for solving the transition issues and bridging the viewpoints gap concerning the regional issues including the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam
