Hamdok announces stabilization price for wheat crop

Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdok has announced that the stabilization price of wheat crop is set at SDG13,500 a bag.

Hamdok praised in his address Sunday to a gathering of farmers of Gezira Scheme at Al-Meailegh town of Gezira State the farmers' role and their efforts that made this achievement possible, saying that the farmer has always stood against totalitarianism and dictatorship, calling for continuation of these epics of production.

He said that Juba peace agreement has put Sudan in the right track and it is conducive for moving Sudan from totalitarianism to democracy, to a country that accommodates everyone.

Hamdok indicated that they in the government of the revolution have agreed to address the economic challenge, production and productivity and the peace file besides reform of the security organs and completing the power structures.

The prime minister called for concerted efforts for the rehabilitation of Gezira Scheme and put it as a priority, indicating that it would get the country out of crises.
