Dr. Hamdouk welcomes the initiative of the President of the Republic of South Sudan, to defuse the tension between Sudan and Ethiopia.
The Transitional Prime Minister, Dr Abdalla Hamdouk has affirmed the commitment of the Government of the Transitional Period to implement Sudan Peace Agreement so that the citizens enjoy security and stability .
Dr. Hamdouk who meet, Sunday, at his office, the Advisor of the President of the Republic of South Sudan and the Chairman of the Southern Mediation Committee, Tut Gatlwak urged all the peace partners to be committed to the agreement, explaining that the delay of the implementation of the Sudan Peace Agreement will affect negatively on the citizen, specially, in the disputes-affected areas.
Dr. Hamdouk has renewed “unshakeable position” of not stage war against any country, affirming that the territories in which the army re-deployed are not disputed areas , assuring the initiative of the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Lieutenant General Salva Kiir Mayardit, to defuse the tension between Sudan and Ethiopia.
The South Sudan Chief Mediator said in press statements that the meeting discussed the implementation of the articles included in Sudan Peace Agreement signed last October , in Juba, top of which, the formation of the government, the legislative councils.
He affirmed the continuation of meetings with the partners of peace process to ratify the final lists concerning the participation of all parties and handing them over to the government prior to issuance of the decisions and the concerned committees included in the agreement.
The South Sudan official underlined that the meeting, also reviewed President Salva Kiir Initiative to find peaceful and negotiated solution to the border issue between Sudan and Ethiopia
