Administration of Decision Support Center
It is composed of :
Department of Translation Publication & Documentation
Whose objectives are:
• Coping with the new developments that emerged from the CPA.
• Providing written translation for documents & interpretation services for members of the Cabinet as required.
• Documenting activities of the Executive.
• Providing research services to studiers who work for the Secretariat General and such studiers who are not.
• Issuing documents and publications of the Secretariat General in such appropriate forms that suit the Secretariat in terms of artistic directing, formulating publications, bookbinding and packaging.
Tasks and functions:-
• Providing interpreting and translation services to the deliberations and works of the Cabinet.
• Translating all correspondences, publications, studies and reports prepared by the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers as well as publishing them in languages other than Arabic along with providing website of the Secretariat General with correct news and stances to defend the positions of the Sudan.
• Keeping and documenting all reports, studies and minutes of the meetings and resolutions of the Cabinet and its assisting mechanisms such as the ministerial sectors and so forth.
• Providing the archive of the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers with governmental documents and other files produced by the departments of the Secretariat General as well as working towards classifying and organizing them in a manner that provides the Cabinet with required information in a short space of time.
• Providing sources, specialized references and required scientific research materials at the library for researchers, scholars and graduate students within the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers.
• Implementing all advanced printing works, binding and packaging of all publications and circulars by using modern means as well as preparing the monthly bulletin of the Cabinet.
• Designing all official papers, bright billboards and backgrounds required at conferences, forums and workshops.
• Listing visits of foreign delegations that visit the Sudan.
• Listing on daily basis the conferences, symposiums, seminars, workshops, forums and lectures held in the Country.
Department of Networks and Systems
Affiliated to it are :
- The Department of Networks.
- The Department of Systems.
- Administrative Support Department.
General Objectives
The General Objective is expanding the use of computer and the supporting information systems as well as providing the process of decision taking and all the administrative levels along with the affiliating systems with the up-to-date modes of information technology and communication
Tasks and competencies:
- Managing the local information network and developing it in consistency with the available technology.
- Overseeing the maintenance of the network with regards to the supply operations and the purchase of sets and their accessories.
- Working towards linking the Council of Ministers to the up-to-date information network through which information is exchanged with all the federal and the state ministries along with the domestic and regional information networks and the specialized networks.
Developing the methods of information analysis retrieval, and information storage. Along with demonist rating information and data exchange and updating information and data vessels in a manner that copes with modern technology.
Securing the data information and data obtained along with maintaining their secrecy as well as specifying the agencies permitted to handle information.

Its Objectives:
To Control performance of the Council of Ministers and its sectors by providing scientific approach, figures and surveys needed to support decision-takers.
Tasks and Competencies:
Under Ministerial Decree No. (36), 2005, the tasks and competencies of the department are as follows: -
To provide national digital information (the statistically and automatically processed data) and non-digital data (which are the national, regional international indicators as well as high-level , overall sectoral, and ministerial policies in support of decision-taking process
To contribute to the overall assessment of performance through periodic reports, analytical studies, research and forums in a manner that supports decision-taking process.
Contributing to the development of content and exchange of information via the Intranet and Internet with the relevant authorities.
Public Opinion Studies Center:
Conducting public opinion studies to enable the Cabinet and its mechanisms to get acquainted in a scientific method with the type of public opinion and its trends as regards different issues as well as reflecting the required proposals for dealing with public opinion towards the aspired for targets.
Proposing the topics comprised in public opinion issues and recommending to the Secretary General of the Cabinet to be acknowledge by the Minister.
Undertaking public opinion studies represented in the following:
- Conducting public opinion polling.
- Gauging public opinion.
- Conducting public opinion researches.
- Undertaking technical and technological operations required for public opinion studies that constitutes:
- Designing the forms for needed poling.
- Specifying the categories of the community targeted by the study.
- Testing the samples that represent the community subject to the study.
- Overseeing filling in poling forms as well as collecting them.
- Preparing reports on public opinion studies.
- Proposing the agencies , the organizations and the authorities that can be employed in conducting public opinion studies.
