The Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Ahmed Saad Omar, described the Sudanese-Egyptian relations as having historical roots, reiterating the government's keenness to strengthen cooperation ties between the two countries in all fields, pointing out that Sudan and Egypt will provide a model for cooperation and integration of the Arab and African region. This came during a meeting with his office on Sunday September 23, 2018, Ambassador of Egypt to Sudan, Mr. Osama Shaltout, on the occasion of the end of his term in the country. The meeting discussed the importance of developing paths and strategies to develop cooperation relations to serve the two brotherly peoples.
The meeting also touched on the visit of the delegation of Egyptian parliamentary affairs to the country and the importance of the visit in advancing the prospects of cooperation in the fields of parliamentary work between the two countries. For his part, the Egyptian ambassador to Sudan praised the good treatment he found from the officials in the country and wished the progress and prosperity of the brotherly people of Sudan to be continued.
