The social and cultural development sector reviews the performance report of the Zakat Bureau for the year 2017
The Social and Cultural Development Sector at the Council of Ministers reviewed at its meeting on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 under the chairmanship of Prof. Sumaya Abu Keshoh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The report addresses the plans for 2017 and the quantitative objectives that the SAI is seeking to achieve. These include the increase in the capacity of low-income groups, the continued support of the poor and poor, increased support for poor families, and the emphasis on community discourse.
The report showed an increase in the collection rate of 54.3% for the year 2016, as well as the programs implemented by the Zakat Bureau, such as university student sponsorship, orphans, unified treatment, support for al-Khalawi and the school meal.
The report addressed the performance of the mandates and service projects provided by the Bureau.
The sector recommended continuing to update and develop databases and statistics in all states and localities, and coordinate with the relevant parties to support the poor.
On the other hand, the sector listened to the implementation of the reform of the state apparatus and the recommendations of the national dialogue for July for some ministries of the sector.
