Council of Ministers approves the report of the Supreme Council of Civil Defense on the situation of rainfall in the states
The Cabinet has in its regular session held Thursday August 2/2018 Chaired by First Vice President of the Republic, Prime Minister Gen.(psc) Bakri Hassan Salih , listened to the report of the Supreme Council of Civil Defense on the situation of rainfall in various states. Presented by the interior Minister Mr. Eng. Mahmoud Hamed explained that the rainfall rates were above average in most states, which caused some damage in the states of Kassala and West Kordofan, where a number of houses collapsed, most of them in the course of floods. The Council declared its condolences to the affected families of those who lost and damaged and assured of providing the necessary support to those affected by torrential rains and especially food.
The cabinet approved the report, praising the Quick response of the Supreme Council for Civil Defense and decided to equip an appropriate emergency stockpile as well as issuing a law criminalizing the planning of housing and facilities in the flood and flood streams.
The Council assured that the rainy season this year augurs well. Rain rates and distribution have been good and stimulating agricultural and animal production. The cultivated areas are expected to be higher than those planned for cultivation.
