Technical Committee for Economic Development reviewed two reports on the textile industry and leather industry in Sudan
The Technical Committee of the Economic Development Sector at the Council of Ministers reviewed on Sunday 22 July 2018 under the chairmanship of Mr. Bilal Yousef Al-Mubarak, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry, two reports on the spinning and weaving industry in Sudan and the leather industry in Sudan.
The meeting stressed the need to pay attention to cotton as a raw material to meet the requirements of the spinning and weaving industry as well as to support research related to its industry in terms of improving quality and developing highly productive varieties while addressing the problem of suspended factories.
The leather industry report pointed out that Sudan enjoys a large livestock wealth as well as the preferential advantages of Sudanese leather. The meeting recommended that the leather industry accelerate the city's leather industry in the state of Khartoum, Al Jazeera and industrial complexes in the states.
The meeting also reviewed a memorandum of understanding in the industrial field between the Republic of Sudan and the Republic of Vietnam and a tourism cooperation agreement between the Republic of Sudan and the Republic of Turkey.
