The President of the Council of Ministers reviews the periodic report of the seventh session of the National Assembly
The First Vice-President of the Republic,Prime minister,First lieut,Gen Bakri Hassan Saleh,was briefed on the periodic report of the seventh session of the National Assembly which ended last June and the preparations for the eighth session which will start on October 1. This came during a meeting with his office on Sunday, July 15, 2018, Mr. Tariq Tawfiq, Minister of State in the Council of Ministers, who explained in a press statement that the First Deputy stood on the articles and subjects that were approved during the last session, praising the distinguished coordination relationship between the executive body and the national legislature and practice. The high professional implications of this relationship and the response of the National Council to many issues of concern to the community as well as the presence and commitment of the Ministers required by the National Council of statements and reports and respond to questions and requests for briefing. Mr. Tariq Tawfiq explained that the last session of the National Assembly witnessed 34 meetings in which 55 resolutions were adopted, 50 of which were resolutions and recommendations concerning the executive branch. The session also witnessed a license of 7 laws, during which the council heard many questions. And requests for briefing from the Ministers. The Minister of State in the Council of Ministers explained that the next session will begin as usual with the speech of the President of the Republic. There will be (14) laws awaiting its approval during this session besides listening to the performance reports of the ministries and their plans for 2019 as well as follow up enforcement of laws related to the outputs of the national dialogue.
