The Social & Cultural Development Sector reviews a report on the comprehensive health coverage program
The Social and Cultural Development Sector at the Council of Ministers chaired by Professor Sumaya Abucheh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, reviewed on Wednesday, 20 June 2018, a report on the progress of the comprehensive health coverage program for 2017.
The report pointed to the overall coverage of the project in terms of geographical coverage and levels of service, as well as the huge funding spent on this project.
As well as rehabilitation of the infrastructure of the departments of operations, laboratories and blood banks in rural hospitals, providing medical specialist to work in the states, treatment of malnutrition and Strengthening and disseminating the referral system.
The sector recommended the coordination with the states, to appoint a large number of midwives, co-workers and paramedics, and the continuation of the comprehensive health coverage project with health care services until the objectives of the project are reached.
On the other hand, the sector approved a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Guidance and Endowments of the Republic of Sudan and the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and its executive program.
