The Social and Cultural Development Sector approves the performance report of the National Council of Drugs and Toxicology
The Social and Cultural Development Sector at its meeting on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, a chaired by Prof. Samih Abu Keshouh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, pproved the performance report of the National Council for Drugs and Toxins for 2017.
The report reflects the efforts exerted by the Council in strengthening governance at the level of the center and the states and increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the registration system to provide the country's need for medicines, medical supplies and cosmetics, in addition to activating the control of medicines at all levels of the health system. For the financial independence of the General Secretariat of the National Council for Drugs and Toxics, which contributed to attracting and retaining qualified working cadres.
The sector recommended providing national laboratories with international standards, enhancing confidence in the national pharmaceutical industries and intensifying the media for locally manufactured medicines.
The sector reviewed the position of implementation of the reform of the state organs and the recommendations of the National Dialogue Conference until April 2018 for the Ministries of Education, Culture and Health.
The sector received a statement from the Minister of State for guidance and endowments on the accumulation of Umrah pilgrims and the treatments that were carried out.
