The joint meeting of the sectors of governance and social and cultural development of the council of ministers on Thursday, May 24 2018 led by d. Ahmed Bilal Osman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information authorized the construction of the new Khartoum International Airport with soma (Summa) in preparation for the lifting of the cabinet.
The security meeting on the adoption of the BOT (BOT) in the construction of the new airport project and all national projects to alleviate the burden of government funding in order to ensure the proper implementation and management of projects, confirming the necessity of paying attention to the projects associated with the construction of the airport, especially service projects and the use of national capacities, as well as the training of national employment at all levels, according to the latest systems to ensure the maintenance of the continuity of the airport best operational level in accordance with global standards.
And Dr. Mohamed Osman al-Rikabi, minister of finance and economic planning that the outcome of the negotiations with the Turkish company for close to seven months across the technical, legal and financial committees with the participation of national experts in these areas and to the relevant .explaining that the construction of the airport will be in three stages on the implementation of the first phase of three years, beginning in June, 2018 and ending in June 2020.
Dr. Al-rakabi also explained that the contract stipulated that the company executing the airport undertakes the recruitment of Sudanese cadres by 70% of employment and the various functions of the airport during the operating trains and raise their capacity and commitment to global levels, on the one hand knowledge and experiences.
And the collection of the ministers attending the meeting of the importance of the new airport and the country's and its role in achieving the desired economic renaissance indicating that the agreement with the Turkish company is a necessity for the development required in the air transport industry in the Sudan to implement the airport world specifications.
