The prime minister confirms that Sudan is keen to strengthen economic cooperation relations with Sweden

First vice President of the republic,prime minister of the Council of Ministers first liuetenant General Bakri Hassan Saleh, confirmed that Sudan is keen to promote cooperation relations with Sweden, especially in the economic field, praising the positions of Sweden in support of Sudan in international forums, that came to the meeting today, Tuesday, March/ 20/2018 at his office in the cabinet, Sweden's ambassador to Sudan, Mr. Hans Henrek, in the presence of Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Mohamed Abdullah Idris.

The Director of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Khaled Musa said in a press statement that the meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop and support the common interests of the peoples of the two countries, noting that the meeting dealt with the promotion of economic relations and trade exchange between the two countries, pointing out that that the first vice president welcomed the five-year strategy, which was launched this year, which aims to move from humanitarian aid to development aid to support stability in areas out of conflicts.

The Swedish ambassador, for his part, said that the meeting comes within the framework of the end of the Commission on political consultation between Sudan Sweden, confirming the commitment of his Government to continue to support development efforts in Sudan, praising the role of the Sudan in the strengthening of security and stability.
