States Committee Emanating from the High Committee for Following up National Accord Requirements Pays a Visit to North Darfur State
Khartoum: In the framework of its field visit to the states the States Committee Emanating from the High Committee for Following up National Accord Requirements and implementing the outcomes of the National dialogue headed by Dr. Faisal Hassan Ibrahim , The Minister of the Federal Governance Chamber has paid a visit on Tuesday 23 January /2018 to the capital city of North Darfur State Al Fashir where the committee held a meeting with the government of the state in the presence of the state's security committee .
State Governor Engineer Abdulwahid Yousif elaborated that his state is seeing total stability in security conditions , thanks to the efforts of the regular forces which was able to secure all points noting that the state efforts are now aiming at tackling the post war impacts particularly the states that witnessed voluntary return of refugees highlighting the disappearance of arms carrying phenomena after arms collection campaign which was accorded acceptance and satisfaction in addition to the current decline in crime rate .
The governor further outlined that development projects are progressing well in the spheres of roads , water and electricity highlighting the expansion of Al Fashir mosque .
Regarding the economic conditions the governor noted that a committee was set up to tackle livelihood conditions and establishing points of low price sale at the state .
On his part Dr Faisal Hassan Ibrahim outlined the governments seriousness in implementing the outcomes of the national dialogue as it is one of the big national projects that came after independence stressing the need for increasing production and productivity in all sectors and the executive capacity in the basic programs and projects along with according attention to the vulnerable segments and enhancing the spirit of solidarity amidst the categories of the community as well as speeding the implementation of the illiteracy elimination project and reducing poverty at the state.
He further highlighted the need for going ahead with tackling illegal migration and combating drugs,
Meanwhile the meeting listened to a report on the state status of implementing the requirements of the national accord and the outcomes of the national dialogue whereby the committee hailed in this regards the development the state is seeing and the level of progress in implementing the requirements of the national accord and the outcomes of the national dialogue in the axes of policies , legislations and procedures.
On their part the members of the state committee hailed the new approach of north Darfur state in tackling tribal disputes through adopting the approach of dialogue and addressing the root causes of the problem and called for enhancing women role and increasing their contribution in the national economy .
During its visits to north Darfur state the states committee held a meeting with the civil service leaders in the states through which it was reassured on the level of implementing the outcomes of the national dialogue and the project of the state organs reform in its different axes in the Ministries and the localities at the state. The meeting underscored the need for training and qualifying the civil service cadres for leading the upcoming phase and delivering services to citizens at the best levels of quality and excellence
