The sector of governance and administration approves the Draft Law on Sudanese Halal Goods and Services

The sector of governance and administration of the Council of Ministers, in its meeting today headed by the Acting Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Osman Hussein Osman, approved the Draft Law on Sudanese Halal Goods and Services Council for the year 2023.

Secretary General of the Council, Dr. Ali Abdul Raziq Ali Lutfi, stated that the draft law aims to set policies, regulations, conditions and standards for Halal products in accordance with Islamic law and Halal production systems as well as raising awareness of modern concepts of Halal products.

Dr. Lutfi Sid that the draft law aims to inspect establishments of Halal production and service to ensure their compliance with the provisions of the law.

The meeting stressed the importance of publishing the approved draft law and similar laws in the Official Gazette of the Ministry of Justice
