International Advisory Mission on Nuclear and Radiological Security Concludes Visit to Sudan
The international advisory mission on nuclear and radiological security concluded on Wednesday its works at the Peace Rotana Hotel.
During its 10-day visit to Sudan, the mission has examined all the means of control and monitoring in the field of nuclear and radiological security in the country.
The Secretary General of the National Authority for Nuclear and Radiological Control, Dr. Mohamed Hassan Abu-Uznain, stated that Sudan has benefited greatly from the visit of the international advisory mission, especially in aspects related to the development of training programs in the field of control and radiation security in the country.
The Secretary General of the Secretariat of Nuclear Security and Safeguards in the Authority and the mission coordinator in Sudan, Prof. Mujahid Mahmoud Hamed, explained that the mission has put forward a number of recommendations and proposals that the Authority will implement in order to organize the movement of supervisory control of radioactive and nuclear materials imported into the country outside the regulatory control.
