The technical committee for governance and discuss a report on adjusting the foreign presence

The Technical Committee discussed the Governance Sector in its meeting on Wednesday, 8 November 2017, the council of ministers headed by Professor / Tareq Hajj Ali on the Under-secretary of the presidency of the Republic on the adjusting the foreign presence, which dealt with strengthening the pros and interests resulting from combating the negative effects and minimize its risks in the best interests of the community and the nation, care and citizenship and international norms and obligations to the international community .

 

The meeting also discussed the draft electronic passport, which is considered one of the most important projects of the Ministry of the Interior, which is based on the Axes of securing the Sudanese identity and the establishment of the information technology infrastructure and computerization of police work associated with the Sudanese passport procedures.

 

The meeting praised the efforts of the police to provide unique services accessible to the citizen and stressed the importance of establishing a backup data center for civil registry and provide a unified vision for migration in coordination with relevant actors and the rehabilitation of the border ports with modern means to continue the process of identifying and codifying the foreign presence in addition to the necessity of activating the laws and legislation to adjust the foreign presence.
