Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk has commended the support provided by the International Development Association to the transitional government that contributed to reconciling the situations of Sudan with international and regional financing institutions.
This came when Dr. Hamdouk met the Executive Director of the International Development Association on the sidelines of the African mini-summit held in Côte d'Ivoire on the 20th replenishment of the association.
Hamdouk indicated that this cooperation has provided resources that will help the transitional government in financing priority development projects in the fields of irrigation, agriculture, electricity and infrastructure, in addition to the fields of health and education.
The Executive Director of the International Development Association, on his part, congratulated the Prime Minister and the transitional government on the structural reforms that were carried out on the Sudanese economy and the great progress that has been made to integrate Sudan into the international community and its reaching to the decision point regarding relief of external debts.
The meeting discussed the important social programs that should be implemented and speeding up the implementation of the projects so that the citizens feel the positive effects of international support as soon as possible.
