The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, has affirmed the keenness of Sudan to strengthen its relations with the Republic of South Korea, especially in the economic field.
This came when he received Monday in his office a South Korean delegation headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs, in the presence of the Prime Minister’s Advisor for International Affairs, Omer Gamar-Eddin, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mohamed Sharif.
The meeting discussed ways of consolidating the relations between Sudan and South Korea in the political and economic fields as well as the cooperation between the financial and development institutions in the two countries.
The South Korean delegation is visiting the country to participate in meetings of the joint Sudanese- South Korean political consultation committee.
The Sudanese and South Korean sides held Monday meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and reviewed the horizons of cooperation between the two countries in the future, especially in the economic field, the attraction of investments as well as the coordination of stances on the current international issues.
The Sudanese and South Korean sides will hold a forum on investment, co-headed by the Minister of Investment, Dr. Al-Hadi Mohamed Ibrahim, and the South Korean State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with participation of the Ministers of Finance, Panning, Energy, Oil and Industry and businessmen.
