Dr Hamdouk prais the pivotal role of the Railways Corporation in uprising the economical development
The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, has affirmed the state keenness to develop the agricultural sector and to give it a priority among the investment projects due to be presented at the coming Paris conference for support to Sudan
This came during his inspection visit to Zadi One Scheme, in Berber Locality, in the context of current visit to Nahral-Neil State
Zadi One Scheme s considered one of the most important and largest agricultural schemes that use modern and advanced technologies in agriculture in the country and belongs to Zadna International Investment Company Ltd
It uses the pivotal irrigation system and aims to cultivate about one million acres with horticultural crops besides animal production as well as fish production
The project provides job opportunities for around 100,000 farmers
The Prime Minister is accompanied during visit by the Ministers of the Cabinet Affairs, Industry, Agriculture and Mining
Dr. Hamdouk and the accompanying delegation also inspected in Atbara city the Railways Corporation, in the presence of the Wali (governor) of Nahral Neil State, the Director of Sudan Railways Corporation and representatives of the steering committee for railways sector’s trade union
He praised the pivotal role of the Railways Corporation in inspiring the advanced national struggle and passing it to all generations, stressing the importance of the facility in laying down the basis for enhancing the Sudanese economy
Dr. Hamdouk also inspected Al-Salam Cement Factory in Berber Locality and gave a directive for solving all the problems and obstacles facing the factory for re-operating it again
The factory’s designation capacity amounts to 2,500 cement tons per day
