Hamdouk: matrix for implementing outcomes of states’ Governors Forum

Prime Minister, Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk, noted to coordination between the governors and federal state institutions to develop a matrix for implementing the outcomes of the first meeting of the states’ governors, in preparation for the Governance System Conference that will address many issues of decentralized governance, which all are related to the consensus on the building of the national project, and the National Constitutional Conference as a duty delayed for  65 years.

on his Facebook page, Hamdouk indicated that democracy at the local level, bringing issues of governance closer to health, education and other services, also contributes to refining the experiences of those working in public affairs, consolidating the democratic process and linking it directly to sustainable development issues.

He referred to his participation in the closing session of the Forum of Governors of the States, which concluded its work yesterday evening, indicating that the main issue in this transition towards democracy and good governance is the issue of local governance, which seeks a real and broad participation of citizens in decision-making and brings the administration closer to them in their regions to govern themselves by themselves.
