Dr. Hamdouk stresses importance for education curriculum reform process
Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk has stressed the education curriculum reform process.
This came when Dr. Hamdouk met, Sunday, at his office. In the Council of Ministers, the representatives of the Teachers’ Committee and reviewed with them the situation of teachers and education as well the controversial issue of the educational curriculum.
The representatives of the Teachers’ Committee Ahmed Rabie and Amar Yousef presented before the meeting the teacher’s demands which were delivered earlier to the Prime Minister who promised to take decision in this connection.
The meeting which was attended by the Minister of Culture and Information, the Government Official Spokesman, Faisal Mohammed Salih and the Cabinet Affairs Minister, Ambassador Omar Manis discussed the start of the new academic year, stability of the education process and the necessity for the continuation of the education curriculum reform process.
Dr. Hamdouk , during the meeting , has affirmed the reform process of education curriculum as it considered one of the major goals of the revolution.
Dr. Hamdok explained that the decision he issued which suspended the curriculum pending to re- consideration and not to cancel them, expressing his confidence in scholars and specialists in the curriculum preparation process, and that the purpose of the review is to achieve the largest possible consensus on educational curricula by holding comprehensive community dialogue.
