Al-Burhan and Hamdouk Launch Campaign for Support to Armed Forces

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, and the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, Saturday evening launched at the Friendship Hall the private sector’s initiative to support the Armed Forces, in the presence of a number of members of the Sovereignty Council, ministers, the Chief of the Joint Staff, commanders of the police forces, partners of the transitional period and businessmen.

Addressing the celebration for launching the initiative, the Secretary General of the Businessmen Union, engineer Khalafalla Abdul-Raziq, affirmed the confidence of the private sector that the Armed Forces, which defends the principles of the glorious revolution and achieving its goals, is capable of carrying out its sacred patriotic role in protecting the country's dignity, land and unity, and is more ready today to protect the country's borders and people with a broad national backing and support.

Khalafalla affirmed that the national private sector, with all its sectors, will always be at the forefront with its capabilities to provide support the valiant Armed Forces.

He stressed that the campaign’s launching is a message to everyone who wanted to harm the Armed Forces, affirming that the campaign that will continue without a ceiling.

He asserted keenness of the national private sector to support the Armed Forces in sincere patriotism.

He announced the commitment of the Union of the Chambers of Agriculture and Animal Production and its immediate readiness to provide agricultural inputs, technologies and agricultural extension as a contribution to the reconstruction and development to the agriculture and livestock for the area of (2.5 million acres) of fertile land in the Fashaqa area.

He praised the steadfastness of the Armed Forces in all parts of the country, pointing out that launching the private sector’s campaign for support and backing to the Armed Forces is a duty that should be given to those who have been sacrificing their lives and blood for the sake of defending the homeland and offering safety, pride, dignity and honor to the Sudanese people.
