The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, has directed Sudan Airways Company to establish an effective partnership with the American aircraft manufacturer Boeing Company, so that the national carrier restores its leading position in airlines in the Middle East and Africa.
This came during his meeting Monday in his office with a delegation of the American Boeing Company, in the presence of the Minister of Infrastructures and Transport, Engineer Hashim Ibn-Oaf, and the American Charge d’Affaires to Sudan, Brian Shukan.
In a press statement, the Minister of Infrastructures and Transport, Engineer Hashim Ibn Oaf, said that the visit of Boeing Company’s delegation is considered a practical reflection to removal of Sudan’s name from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, explaining that the meeting touched on the future of the relationship between Boeing and Sudan Airways in the coming period.
He indicated that the meeting also dealt with various investment opportunities for Boeing in Sudan.
Meanwhile, the General Director of Sudan Airways Company, Yasser Timo, said that they have drawn up a plan to review work with the American Boeing Company to benefit from past experiences with the company and to open new horizons for the nature of work with it in the field of modernization and promotion of the various air and ground operations of Sudan Airways Company.
