The PM Senior Adviser chairs a special meeting to discuss maximizing the contribution of Sudanese abroad in supporting development efforts
The meeting to discuss the project to benefit from the Sudanese working abroad in the development efforts after the glorious December revolution has hold Today, Sunday, October 26, 2020 in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers premises
The Chief Adviser to the Prime Minister, Mr. Sheikh Khidr, praised the role of the Sudanese working abroad in supporting the nation’s issues and their estimated contributions during the glorious December revolution, stressing the keenness of the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk continues to work to address all issues and problems of the Sudanese outside the country
This came during a meeting that included the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary-General of the Organization for Regulating the Affairs of Sudanese Workers Abroad, the Director of the National Information Center, the UNDP, and the Sudanese Expert House "Development Partners".
The meeting discussed a proposals to amend the Law of the Organization of Personnel Affairs Abroad to enable it to perform its duties in serving the Sudanese citizens abroad in a manner consistent with the values of good governance.
The meeting also reviewed the proposed package of measures that would stimulate supplying the national economy with transfers, resources and investments of the Sudanese abroad through official channels and in clear and transparent ways, in order to push the agenda of balanced development and economic reform forward, integrating the roles of the Sudanese at home and abroad, especially in light of the process of removing the country from the list of State sponsors of terrorism
