Sudan participates in the African Union Presidency - Economic Groups meetings

The Foreign Minister in charge, Mr. Omar Qamarddin, delivered Sudan's speech at the meetings of the Presidency of the African Union - Economic Groups, on behalf of the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk,  the head of the current session of the IGAD organization.

In his speech, Sudan explained that IGAD had submitted a report on transportation and health integration to prevent the Corona pandemic, indicating that in the transportation file they provided information about activity on the continent with the aim of creating communication networks between IGAD groups.

The Foreign Minister in charge also explained that the IGAD work is based on four main pillars, the most important of which is the activity in agriculture, environment, security and peace in the continent, indicating that a model was presented for the work of IGAD and its entry into peace processes in the countries of the region, southern Sudan and Somalia.
