The Council of Ministers reviewed a report about arrangements for the academic year 2020-2021 and a briefing on the Glorious December Revolution Conference for the Advancement of Education, presented by the Minister of Education, Professor / Muhammad Al-Amin Al-Tom, who
Referred to the postponement of the school year from 6/9 to 9/27 due to the Sudanese certificate exam, and also indicated that the picture is incomplete in the following: the health side and the ministry’s vision for implementing the remote education system and teacher training. He also referred to the challenges facing the school year, including the general situation of schools. And the classroom, the sitting and the textbook, indicating the need for rebuilt 17,000 classrooms, as well as the financing challenges which preventing textbook printing. He also referred to the promise of achieving free education and school meals and reviewing the curriculum
The Minister of Culture and Information, the official spokesperson for the government, Mr. Faisal Mohamed Saleh, said that the Minister of Education spoke about the holding of the Education advancement Conference through 19 sites using video conference technology through the University of Khartoum network with the help of the World Bank Center in Khartoum, which provided the possibility of communication and reduced the financial cost
Where the Prime Minister addressed the opening session of the conference, which caused a wide echo of the conference, and the conclusion of the conference activities also addressed the chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan,
The Minister of Culture and Information explained that the Council deliberated in the two issues and stressed the need to pay attention to special groups such as people with special needs, the handicapped, and nomadic education, and to benefit from the efforts of the private sector and civil society organizations in providing school accommodation and meals according to a unified strategy for all sectors.
Indicating that the council indicated the position of readiness for the academic year in terms of providing teachers and the extent of their qualification
