The cabinet in its session today 1 April 2020 heard to a report by the Federal Minister of Health, Dr.Akram Ali Al-Tom who reviewed the efforts being exerted and the problems of the lack of equipment and medicines.The minister also, briefed the Cabinet on the medical equipment donated by China, Qatar and some of the Sudanese citizens in Qatar.
The Minister of Culture and Information and government spokesman Faisal Mohamed Salih said that the Cabinet briefed on the seven cases, that confirmed to be affected by the corona epidemic, all cases were coming from outside the country, including two deaths and two other cases recovery, and there are three cases under treatment.
Mr. Faisal revealed that the Council of Ministers will hold special session tomorrow, Thursday, to discuss more precautionary measures to face the Corona-virus pandemic.
He also said that the Cabinet got acquainted with the precautionary measures taken by the Higher Committee for Emergencies including the postponement of the Sudan’s Certificate Exams and the increase of the curfew time.In a related context,
The government’s spokesperson said that the cabinet heard a statement from the Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr.Madani Abbas Madani, on the ration situation related to flour and the Ministry’s efforts to provide bread, he clarified that the Minister of Industry and Trade presented a preliminary vision for a new system for the distribution of bread suit with the conditions of the curfew indicating that the Supply Investigations, localities, states and resistance committees will have a major role in the new system of bread distribution
