The Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk received a message of sustenance and support from Ms. Shisili Kaboboy, Secretary General of (COMESA), after the failed assassination attempt on the Prime Minister's convoy on March 9, 2020. Her Excellency added that since the signing of the Constitutional Declaration, Sudan has made clear progress towards maintaining peace and stability and addressing the economic challenges facing the country.
Ms. Sisile confirmed the organization's full commitment to working with the African Union and other regional economic groupings to enhance the peace and security march in Sudan, which provided the opportunity to implement smoothly the major reforms, and contributed to the expansion of regional and international cooperation. She explained that this progress would push Sudan towards achieving sustainable economic development, peace and security.
In a related context, Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk received a message from his counterpart, Prime Minister of Central Africa, Mr. Ferman Naqribada, who expressed his deep regret after receiving the news of the sinful attack on the Prime Minister’s convoy.
Mr. Ferman confirmed his country's support and it’s standing next to Sudan in the face of the efforts of the enemies of peace, expressing great gratitude of his country's government to the government and brotherly people of Sudan
