Hamdouk Commends ICRC’s Work

 Prime Minister Dr. Abdallah Hamdouk has reaffirmed commitment of the government to facilitate work of the organizations working in the field of humanitarian aid in the country to enable them to carry out their missions, commending the continuous operations of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Sudan.
 
This came when the Prime Minister received at his office here today ICRC’s delegation, headed by Ms. Patricia Danzi, ICRC's Regional Director for Africa, in the presence of State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Omer Gamar-Eddin, who pointed out in a press statement that the meeting tackled aspects of cooperation between Sudan and the ICRC in the field of humanitarian aid.
 
On her part, Ms. Danzi expressed pleasure that the Government of the Republic of Sudan has provided more space for humanitarian action a matter that contributes to providing the greatest amount of aid and achieving stability and peace in Sudan, stressing the ICRC's keenness to provide aid to the victims of conflicts in a satisfactory manner.
