Council of Ministers approves a number of agreements

The  Council of Ministers, in  its  regular  meeting,  which was chaired by  the Prime  Minister Dr Abdallah Hamdouk Tuesday, approved  the HQs  Agreement between  Government of Sudan  the United Nations  International Fund  for Agricultural Development (IFAD) on establishment of IFAD Country Office in Sudan.

Minister of Culture and Information and Government Spokesman Faisal Mohamed Salih said in press statements  that  opening of IFAD country office  in Sudan avails  opportunity for the  organization  to expand its programs and projects  in the country, besides contributing  to  funding  agricultural and development  as well as animal production projects.

 He said that  the Council also approved  the International Labor  Agreement(87) , 1948 which guarantees  freedom of trade unions  and right of  organization, explaining  that  by endorsing  this agreement Sudan has finalized approval of  the  8 agreements  of the International Labor Organization(ILO).
