Hamdouk briefed Cabinet on Dijibouti Visit and AFU participation

The Council of Ministers chaired by the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, Wednesday, heard to briefing by him on his recent visit to Djibouti.

Minister of Culture and Information and the Government Official Spokesman, Faisal Mohammed Salih said in press statements that Hamdouk briefed the Djiboutians on the political situations and the challenges facing the Transitional Government.

The two sides discussed spheres of cooperation in the fields of trade and economy including the Dijboutian experiment in development of the sea ports.

 Faisal outlined that the Prime Ministerbriefed the cabinet on IGAD’s efforts in solving the problems facing the region on his capacity as the Organization’s Chairman, explaining that, Hamadouk, during the visit, laid the foundation stone for IGAD’s new Headquarters.

“The Prime Ministers met the General and Executive Secretariat of the organization to review IGAD’s issues” Faisal indicated.

Dr. Hamdouk also, briefed the cabinet on his participation of the 33th African Summit, thanking the African Union for supporting Sudan and following up to the progress achieved by the Transitional Government.
