Dr. Hamdouk affirms Sudan's keenness to enhance cooperation with the UNDP

The Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk received today, Sunday, January 26, 2020 AD, in his office in the Council of Ministers the Executive Director of the United Nations Development Program, Mr. Akhiim Schneider, in the presence of the Minister of Cabinet Affairs Ambassador / Omar Bashir Manis and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Asmaa Mohamed Abdullah
The Prime Minister affirmed Sudan’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the United Nations Development Program
 
The Director of the United Nations Development Program, Mr. Akhiim Schneider, stated in a press statement that his visit to Sudan is the first of its kind and represents a solidarity stance with Sudan and the government of the transitional period. Noting that the meeting dealt with the work of the United Nations Development Program in the transitional phase in support of Sudan
 
Mr. Schneider stressed the commitment of the United Nations system to assist Sudan, especially in the areas of humanitarian and development assistance, as well as supporting the capabilities of the Sudanese government in the center and the outskirts to carry out all the tasks required of them in the transitional phase, noting that the meeting touched on the priorities of the transitional government and the challenges facing it, which comes at the head of peace Comprehensive and fair country. Mr. Schneider added that during this three-day visit, he will meet government officials and civil society representatives
