Dr. Hamdouk announces the commitment of the parties to the conflict of Al-Geneina to stop hostilities

The Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk asserted that the parties concerned with the events in the city of El Geneina reached an agreement through which they committed themselves to stopping hostilities and not to attack any party on the other and work to maintain security and stability in the region
 
The prime minister pointed out in a press statement after the conflicting parties session to restore peace and stability in Al-Geneina city, the delegation of the Supreme Committee since its arrival in West Darfur, started serious steps in a number of axes, including the formation of the fact-finding committee, the process of collecting weapons, and started on the issue of humanitarian aid to provide needs for those affected
 
Hamdouk stressed the need to provide assistance that helps return displaced people, and appealed to the community of Al-Geneina and the central and state governments to assist the displaced people to return to their areas
 
Hamdouk praised the role and efforts of the regular forces with all its components, including the armed forces, rapid support, the police, and intelligence that contributed to establishing security and stability in the region 
Stressing the State's keenness to preserve the lives, safety and security of citizens and to spread the prestige of the state. Dr. Hamdouk expressed his confidence that what has been accomplished during the past five days will hold the positive climate that prevails in the state
