Dr. Hamdouk stresses the importance of Chad's role in achieving peace and stability in the region

The Chadian President Idriss Deby received today Monday 16 December 2019 in the presidential palace in the Chadian capital, N'Djamena, 
The Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk and his accompanying delegation the two sides held joint bilateral talks on strengthening ways of cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially in the areas of economic and security cooperation
 
The Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk stressed the importance of the role played by the Republic of Chad and its relentless pursuit of security, stability and peace in Sudan in particular and the regional environment in general
The two sides issued a joint statement dealing with the results and outputs of the discussions that took place today between the two countries
 
The Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Ambassador Omar Bashir Menis, stated in a press statement that the two sides are assured the enhancing of the existing cooperation between the two countries in a way that serves the interests of their two brotherly peoples, noting that the two parties stressed the need to strengthen the role of the joint force between Sudan and Chad to secure borders and regulate the movement of individuals between The two brotherly countries,
He pointed out that the two parties have also assured the need to take strict measures regarding the issue of combating illegal immigration
 
About the economic and commercial aspect regard between the two countries, Ambassador Omar Menis said that the two parties stressed the necessity to activate trade exchanges between them, especially those that take place through Port Sudan, taking into consideration the African Free Trade Agreement. Pointing out that the two sides stressed the importance of implementing infrastructure projects and railways that link the two countries, due to its importance in promoting trade exchange.  He added, "The two parties insured the necessity of achieving a real and sustainable peace in Sudan," noting in this regard that the two sides made an appeal to the armed struggle movements to give priority to dialogue and national reconciliation, the minister also made it clear that the two sides agreed to unite their efforts to facilitate the dialogue between the Government of Sudan and the armed struggle movements
 
The Minister of Cabinet Affairs stated that the country of Chad confirmed its full support for the negotiations taking place in southern Sudan.  Noting that the two sides directed the need to intensify and raise the level of meetings between the two countries, where as the technical ministries of the two countries should follow up the implementation of the outputs of these important discussions
 
More over, Menis said that Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk thanked the President of Chad, Idris Dubai, for the warm welcoming and the acclamation he found and the delegation accompanying it
