PM calls the European Union to contribute to the removal of the name of Sudan from the list of states sponsoring terrorism

Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdouk expressed his thanks and appreciation to the European Union for its continued support to the struggle of the Sudanese people explaining that the support of the European Union is appreciated by the Sudanese people, He made this remarks while addressing the European Parliament debate on the situation in Sudan with the Development and External Relations Committees, in the presence of Minister of Industry and Trade Mr. Madani Abbas Madani, Minister of Labor and Social Development Ms. Lina Al-Sheikh and Acting Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union Acting Chargé d'Affaires Hamid Al-Jazouli Khaled. The Prime Minister stressed his country's aspiration to establish a strategic partnership with the European Union
 
The Prime Minister reviewed the priorities of the transitional government, including the cessation of war, building sustainable peace, addressing the economic crisis, and reforming state institutions.
He referred to the efforts of the transitional government to achieve a comprehensive and just peace
Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk affirmed Sudan's commitment to a balanced foreign policy that takes into account the country's interest. He pointed out that the transitional government was interested in promoting women's participation in levels of government
 
The Prime Minister called on the European Union to contribute to removing Sudan from the list of state sponsors of terrorism
For their part, members of the European Parliament confirmed their support for the efforts of the transitional government
