The Council of Ministers listened on Tuesday 5 November 2019 to a report from the Ministerial Committee to study the position of public transport, which included the position of the implementation of temporary solutions and plans for strategic solutions in the long term, in this regard, the Council of Ministers directed to follow up the implementation of recommendations to solve the problem of transportation, most notably the tightening of police control in covering different positions and stations. Indicating the continuation of the repair of roads that began work where has been repaired twenty thousand square meters of parking in the three cities of the capital and in the framework of the solution of the transportation crisis, which is caused by poor roads and parking. In addition to the increase of transport Vehicles, 230 new buses were introduced and another 390 buses were prepared, pointing to the tripartite committee's efforts to introduce the train in Khartoum state before the end of the year. The Council also listened to a report on the fuel supply situation presented by the Minister of Energy and Mining, Chairman of the Ministerial Committee to follow up the fuel supply situation.
He assured the Council of the current arrangements to import additional quantities of fuel to build a strategic stockpile to cover the needs of the country during the partial cessation of the refinery of Al-Jili in the period from February to next April to maintenance
The Council also heard a report on the position of supplying flour and medicine
The Council Ministries directed the Ministry of Finance to urgently provide all the needs of foreign exchange for the import of medicine in the country, which meets the current stock of the country for the next three months
The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry also presented a report on the summer agricultural season and preparation for the winter season in agricultural projects, both irrigated and rainy.
Where by the minister pointed out that the cultivated areas increased this year by 13%.The Cabinet directed the import of additional quantities of burlap and agricultural machinery to meet the needs of the agricultural season, especially as the autumn was promising this year
