The Ministerial Committee of follow up the daily situation of medicines and fuel reviewed in its meeting on Wednesday 16 October 2019 at the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers  chaired by Mr. Adel Ali Ibrahim, Minister of Energy and Mining, the fuel and medicine situation in the country
 
The director of petroleum supplies  Mr. Jamal Hassan, stressed that there is no problem in the availability of gasoline and that the quantities needed by the country are imported from gasoline, franc and gas to fill the gap between the producer and the consumer. He pointed out that the phenomenon of smuggling gasoline contributed to the existence of two service and commercial prices, and that there are efforts to provide additional storage warehouses for gas. He also called for the rehabilitation of the stalls in the port, which receives imported vessels for fuel
 
For his part, the Director of Medical Supplies Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Jaali, said that the abundance rate for drugs and supplies of national programs reached 94% and that the flow of medicines depends on the provision of foreign exchange on time, pointing out that has been paid 37 million euros to pharmaceutical companies is a debt since 2017 but the situation of providing medicines in the state warehouses is excellent, pointing out that the medicines needed to face the chikungunya fever have been shipped to Kassala State
 
The Committee recommended strengthening the electronic monitoring system for pumps and warehouses, which contributes to combating smuggling
