Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdok, has called on IGAD member states to work for expanding trade among member states to achieve development and strengthen relations in the field of investment and trade.
In his address at the joint Sudanese – Ethiopian ministerial meeting in Addis Ababa on Friday, Dr. Hamdok asserted the importance of cooperation between Sudan and Ethiopia in the field of power and all domains.
He said that the economic sanctions have greatly affected the Sudanese economy.
On the Renaissance Dam, he indicated that the problem can be solved by technical means and by reactivation of the committees’ work.
Dr. Hamdok has renewed his appreciation of the role of Ethiopia in convincing all the Sudanese political forces to move for democratic transformation.
It is to be recalled that the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defence, Energy and Mining and Industry and Trade and their Ethiopian counterparts have participated in the joint ministerial meeting
