The Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk said that the transitional government is committed to starting a new chapter in the history of Sudan based on the aspirations and optimism of the people as well as setting the priorities of the peace process that will lead to achieving comprehensive and sustainable peace in every region of the country.
He called on the international community to contribute to the lifting of the name of Sudan from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, this came while his addressing on Thursday 3 October 2019, in the presence of Dr. Ibrahim Al Badawi Minister of Finance and Economic Planning the opening session of the Stakeholder Dialogue Conference in Sudan organized by the Royal Institute for International Affairs Sudan, Under the slogan “Towards inclusive economic growth in Sudan” which aims to discuss durable solutions to the pressing challenges facing Sudan.
Dr. Hamdouk also called on to consider establishing a national project
and to confront how Sudan is governed and let the people of Sudan choose their own governors and work to put the basic role of the country's democratic process. He stressed of the nessity of enhancing the partecipant of woman in the deccison making instetuation. Adding that “ the desireed political and economic reforms should implemente and apply in the correct way to adapt the suitable conditions to achaive development, progress and prosperity”
The prime minister pointed out that the transitional government will work to build balanced foreign relations that serve the country's supreme concern, emphasizing the determination of the transitional government to invest in human resources, especially since many countries have achieved sustainable and promoted development through investment in this domain
Dr. Hamdouk directd to the importance of exploiting the huge potentials and resources abundant in Sudan besides restructuring and reforming state institutions, achieving justice, fighting corruption, restoring the assets of the looted state, in addition to fighting unemployment and independence of the youth's capacities in building the country
The conference, which attended by a number of experts from inside and outside Sudan, will discuss a number of issues, which will deal with durable peace as a basis for sustainable economic recovery, consolidating economic legitimacy, strengthening anti-corruption efforts, restoring stolen assets, strengthening the banking system, providing access to finance, restructuring the budget and following up the financial rescue plan.
Besides setting a coherent monetary policy, cotroling inflation, building a social safety net and protecting the vulnerable segments of society
The conference will also review topics related to meeting infrastructure needs, working with the private sector, developing a comprehensive strategy for the productive sectors, as well as providing education, training and employment for the youth
