PM Briefs Council of Ministers on his Visits to New York and France

The Council of Ministers Wednesday held a regular meeting under chairmanship of the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdok, who briefed the Cabinet on his participation in the recent 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
 
Dr. Hamdok has pointed to the importance of participation, which came after a long interruption for many years, and described it as highly successful and appreciated by all the world.
 
He said that the most important topic discussed was on the removing Sudan from the list of states sponsoring terrorism.
 
He referred to his meetings the Sudanese community and the professional associations and civil organizations in New York, indicating that the Sudanese community members have expressed their readiness to contribute to solution of all Sudan issues.
 
He also briefed the Council of Ministers on the outcome of his visit to France at the invitation of its President, Emanuel Macron, describing this visit as amazing.
 
He also pointed to his meeting in France with the leader of Sudan Liberation Army, Abdul-Wahid Mohamed Nur, indicating that they discussed all the issues of war in Sudan and stressed the importance of peaceful solution.
 
He described his meeting with Abdul-Wahid Mohamed Nur is considered the start for creating a form of trust, adding that the meetings would continue until peace understandings were reached.
