Prime Minister: I received a sincere promise from senior officials to remove Sudan from the list of terrorism

The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk, said in a private interview with BBC World News about the outcomes of his meetings with US officials and international financial institutions, he said he had received a sincere promise from US officials to remove Sudan from the list of state sponsors of terrorism. He pointed out that it was agreed on the existence of mechanisms to allow Sudan to receive financial assistance from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, and sanctions will not be an impediment to Sudan to receive assistance from these institutions

The Prime Minister expressed his reassurance and optimism about the meetings he held with the parties concerned with peace in Sudan and stressed in this regard that comprehensive peace in Sudan will be achieved during the period set by the constitutional document (six months)
