Prime Minister calls on the United Nations to support Sudan

The Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk reviewed the latest developments in the country, the number of priorities of the transitional government, including stopping the war, laying the foundation for sustainable peace, addressing the economic crisis, building state institutions, justice and national reconciliation, empowering women and youth, and adopting a balanced foreign policy.
 
This came during a meeting in New York with Ambassador Jean-Pierre Lacroix, UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, in the presence of Ambassador Omar Seddik, Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
 
Hamdouk also touched on the most important challenges facing the transitional government, especially the presence of the country on the list of states sponsoring terrorism, economic crisis and armed conflicts, calling on the United Nations to support the country in this delicate circumstance of its history.
