Cabinet Holds its First Session
The transitional cabinet has held its first meeting on Tuesdays September 10/2019 chaired by Transitional Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok.
The Cabinet has deliberated on the topics enlisted in its agenda these are:
Bill of organizing cabinet works for the year 2019 which the cabinet has approved. .
Second: Priorities of the government in the upcoming period these are :
Stopping the war and working towards realizing just, comprehensive and sustainable peace by addressing the root causes of the Sudanese problem .
tackling its impacts and taking into account the temporary detailed measures for the war-affected regions the least developed regions and the most affected groups.
Addressing the economic crisis via stopping economic deterioration as well as working on establishing the basis of sustainable development through implementing an economic , social , financial and humanitarian program for surmounting the current constraints.
Repealing the freedom-restricting laws and provisions as well as conducting legal reform for rebuilding and development of the system of law and justice along with guaranteeing the independence of law , the rule of law , commitment to the system of justice and transitional justice with their close connection with peace operation . Setting up an independent investigation committee. , enhancing democratic transformation , guaranteeing and enhancing the rights of women in all social , political and economic spheres.
Along with just and duly representing then in the governance structures throughout the transitional period , in a manner that reflects its independence, nationalism and the justice of distributing opportunities in them without prejudicing the conditions of capacity and competence in conformity with the law.
Laying down balanced external relations that realize the high interests of the country and working towards improving Sudan's external relations , building them on the basis of independence and joint interests in a manner that preserves the sovereignty , borders and security of the state.
Undertaking an effective role in social welfare and development through seeking means for providing health , education , residence and social security as well as working on maintaining a clean natural environment , biomass diversity and sponsoring it in a manner that guarantees the future of the coming generations.
Enhancing the role of the youths of both gender , broadening their opportunities in all social , political and economic fields . Holding the National Constitutional Conference before the end of the transitional period for discussing governance issues and agreeing on how to rule the country in a manner that realizes peace and democracy and sustainable development . taking the necessary measures for fighting all forms of corruption .
After lively discussion the cabinet approved them and directed the ministries to set up a detailed program for implementing these guidelines.
Third : a proposal for setting up the sectors of the council of ministers and it was approved to be three sectors – these are the sector of governance and administration, economic development and the social and cultural development.
Four : The Cabinet has issued a package of guidelines to the ministers for perfection of performance throughout the upcoming period and for encountering the challenges
