Prime Minister stresses Sudan's keenness to strengthen cooperation relations with Germany

The Prime Minister d. Abdullah Hamdouk confirmed  Sudan's keenness to strengthen cooperation relations with the  Republic of Germany in various fields, this came during a joint press conference between the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister of Germany, which was held  on Tuesday 3 September 2019 at the Council of Ministers

The Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the German delegation to the country, which he described as a mission that would contribute to advancing the prospects of cooperation between Sudan and Germany to serve the interests of both countries

He pointed out that his government's priorities for the coming period is to stop the war and build sustainable peace to push forward the development process in the country and unveiled a short-term plan and an emergency program to address the current economic challenges and work to provide basic materials and addressing the exchange rate and enhancing confidence in the banking system, pointing out that there is a long-term economic plan aimed at increasing production and raising productivity

For his part, the German Foreign Minister expressed his happiness for the first visit to Sudan, conveying the German government's congratulations on the victory of the will of the Sudanese people and the success of its revolution , stressing his country's support for the transitional government so that it can carry out its desired programs, he pointed out that Germany will play a positive role with the international community to remove Sudan from the list of state sponsors of terrorism as well as the transfer of positive developments witnessed by Sudan during the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly to be held in the coming period
