Government Companies Survey and Review Committee recommends to submit the national audit reports to take the necessary legal action

Government Companies Survey and Review Committee had recommended to submit the national audit reports on violations to the Attorney General to take legal action and open reports against the violators of public funds and work to recover them. This was during a press conference held by the Committee today Monday 8 July 2019, at the cabinet headed by chairman Director of the Legal Department of the Council of Ministers Maulana Mohammed Ahmed Ali al-Ghali

The Committee called for the reopening of public money reports, which had been written off by the former Attorney-General, despite the existence of sufficient evidence included in the National Audit Report. The Committee directed to recover the public money that had been wasted by selling value assets at lower prices. The committee emphasized the importance that the collection should be according to financial documents, the supply of all proceeds to the public treasury and the prevention of the disbursement of any amounts from the investment proceeds directly from the company, as was the case in the past through memoirs of ministers and others

The committee also recommended reviewing the management of public bodies and government companies in the Ministry of Finance by restructuring them in terms of the number of employees and their qualifications and supporting it by qualified cadres including it as the supervisor of government companies in the Ministry of Finance. It also recommended the deletion of companies that have not filed or maintained their record with the Registrar of Companies since its establishment or interrupted its relationship with the commercial registrar in the Ministry of Justice regarding its continuity procedures by the Registrar of Companies in the Ministry of Justice
