Social and Cultural Development Sector reviews a protocol on the protection of traditional knowledge and folklore

The social and cultural development sector in the Council of Ministers reviewed on its meeting today Wednesday 3 April 2019, headed by Minister of Education, Swakopmund Protocol on the Protection of Traditional Knowledge and Expressions of Folklore presented by State Minister for Culture, Tourism and Antiquities
 
The importance of the Protocol lies in the intrinsic value of traditional knowledge and cultures, the need to protect and respect them and the role of traditional cultural values in the preservation of the environment, food security, population health, the importance of human heritage and protection of traditional knowledge from misappropriation or misappropriation
 
The sector recommended the importance of raising awareness among citizens about the traditional knowledge enjoyed by the Sudan and protecting it
