Cabinet Economic Sector Affirms Need For Controls For Mining Sector
The Cabinet Economic Sector has affirmed in a meeting it held on Thursday 28 March 2019 Chaired by the Minister of Industry and Trade Hamid Mumtaz the need for laying down strategies and controls that govern the mining sector in a manner that guarantees increase of production of gold and other minerals
The meeting has reviewed the centralized plan of becoming aware of gold produce throughout the year 2019 which was prepared by the Ministry of minerals aiming to laying down projects and executive programs capable of making possible awareness of the produce of gold for boosting the national economy and closing the gap in the balance of trade
The meeting recommended review of the policies governing contracts and agreement in the mining sector along with working on the removal of cross-cuttings between the Acts that govern the gold produce and between the different levels of governance.
