Technical Committee for the Governance and Administration Sector reviews the report of the general features of the annual criminal situation for the year 2018

The Technical Committee for Governance and Administration reviewed on Sunday 24 March 2019 in the Council of Ministers, headed by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Gamal El-Din Omar Ibrahim Mohamed, a report on the general features of the annual criminal situation for the year 2018, which aims at showing the level of implementation of the state criminal policy, which assesses and reviews the performance of the police forces and the overall security situation in the country and it is prepared on the basis of statistics and data provided by police officers, and it form a source of information for all relevant institutions to play their role in crime prevention and the maintenance of community security under the rule of law
 
The report pointed out that the year 2018 witnessed a relative stability in most parts of the country, which was reflected in the decrease in the number of reports as a result of the efforts of the police to restore security and stability and the report expressed a noticed decrease in killings, looting and suicide, especially in the western sector states
 
The meeting recommended the need to support and adopt institutions of higher education and research centers specialized in research and criminal studies to contribute in making solutions to criminal phenomena as well as to combat poverty and improve living conditions through the concerned  institutions, in addition to activating the relationship with the community to prevent crime and intensify the media discourse of specialized bodies to raise awareness and reduce crimes related to the family And the child
