Technical Committee for the Economic Development Sector reviews a partnership agreement between Sudan and Turkey

The Technical Committee of the Economic Development Sector at the Council of Ministers reviewed on Sunday, February 17, 2019 under the chairmanship of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Mr. Omar Mustafa Abdul Qader, the agreement of the trade and economic partnership between Sudan and Turkey, which aims to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries, Structural structure in its economy by establishing a competitive and diversified economic base through the development of its commercial competitiveness
 
The meeting praised the efforts made in this agreement, pointing to its role in diversifying and increasing Sudan's agricultural, animal and industrial exports,
 
The Technical Committee heard a report on the efforts of the Ministry of Oil, Gas and Minerals on reducing the use of mercury in mining. The report indicated that the Ministry has prepared a national plan to reduce the use of mercury in the mining sector, as stipulated in the Minimata Convention,
 
The meeting recommended the need to expedite the ratification of the Convention (Minimata) to demonstrate the international commitment to the laws and environmental requirements to protect human and animal health and environmental conservation, and recommended the establishment of more typical markets in the mining areas organized and developed for this sector
